
Batam, gokepri – President Joko Widodo departed from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta to Singapore using the Indonesian Presidential Aircraft-1 on Thursday.
According to an official statement from the Presidential Secretariat Press Bureau on Thursday, March 16, 2023, President Jokowi will meet with Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in the Leaders’ Retreat meeting, which will take place from noon until late afternoon.
The Leaders’ Retreat meeting is an annual meeting between the President of Indonesia and the Prime Minister of Singapore. Last year’s meeting was held in Bintan, Indonesia.
Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, who has been in Singapore to prepare for the President’s arrival, stated that one of the focuses of this year’s meeting is Singapore’s investment in the development of the Nusantara Capital.
“Economic, digital, health, and renewable energy cooperation will be the focus of discussion,” said Foreign Minister Retno in a written message.
On Thursday afternoon, President Jokowi will leave Singapore to continue his working visit to South Kalimantan Province.
Accompanying the President on his working visit to Singapore are Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Director-General of Protocol and Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs/Head of the National Protocol Andy Rachmianto, Paspampres Commander Major General TNI Rafael Granada Baay, Presidential Private Secretary Anggit Noegroho, and Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Bey Machmudin.
Seen bidding farewell to the President were Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono, Jakarta Military Commander Major General TNI Untung Budiharto, Jakarta Metropolitan Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran, Koopsud I Commander Air Marshal TNI Bambang Gunarto, and Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base Commander Air Vice Marshal TNI Adrian P. Damanik.
