Batam (gokepri.com) – Vice Mayor of Batam, Amsakar Achmad, attended the opening of Gebyar Melayu Pesisir II at one of the hotels in Batuampar, Monday (23/8/2021). The activity was held by Bank Indonesia Riau Islands Representative.
“We really appreciate this activity. It even received direct support from a number of ministries and the Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore,” he said.
With this much support, Amsakar continues to encourage SMEs in Batam to continue to improve and be able to penetrate the digital world to enter the international market.
“MSMEs are very strong in the midst of a pandemic, while all parties support MSMEs to cover the global market, let’s achieve that by transforming into the digital realm through e-commerce,” he said.
His party will continue to foster through the relevant Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD). He welcomed the statements of a number of ministers and the Indonesian ambassador to Singapore regarding the support of MSMEs.
“From the MSMEs brought to Singapore, some are from Batam SMEs. It’s time for MSMEs to enter the realm of digitalization and this opportunity is put to good use,” he said.
Head of the Riau Islands BI Representative, Musni Hardi K Atmaja said Gebyar Melayu Pesisir this time is the second. Previously, the first series was held on March 3, 2021. In the 4-day activity, the theme was Synergy to Build Riau Islands MSMEs Rising Towards Global Markets.
“At Gebyar Melayu Pesisir 1, the focus is on encouraging digitization and marketing of MSMEs, while for Gebyar Melayu Pesisir II, it is not only local to Riau Islands but also abroad,” he said.
In this activity, various series were held, one of which was the improvement of MSME products. He hopes that this event will encourage Keri SMEs. “MSMEs must increase their capacity and hopefully produce superior products so they can compete not only in the Riau Islands but also outside the Riau Islands,” he said.
Present virtually, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menpar Ekraf) RI, Sandiaga Salahudin Uno. On that occasion, he was optimistic that Riau Islands SMEs would be able to bounce back. He said the Riau Islands MSMEs were very excited about going to the global market.
“Rise to be a winner, through this (Pesisir Malay Gebyar), let’s raise the economy and prosper the people. Continue to advance Indonesia’s tourism and creative economy,” he said.
Also present were the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs, Teten Masduki, the Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore, Suryo Pratomo, the Deputy Governor of BI, Doni Primanto Joewono, and the Governor of Riau Islands, Ansar Ahmad. (Ard)
